Tuesday morning, bright and early, my Mazdaspeed is going back into the shop, most likely to have my swaybar bushings replaced for the third time. This'll be the last set that I get done for free since my warranty expires soon, but if it happens again, I'll probably buy some aftermarket. Maybe they'll last a little longer.

I guess I'm not the only MAZDASPEED Protege owner that has these issues... Looking through the search strings that people used that got them to my page, there are many of them for things like "mazdaspeed protege sway bar bushings", "mazdaspeed protege hard to get into reverse", "mazdaspeed protege snow tires" and "mazdaspeed protege dashboard rattle".

Got up early this morning to visit Mazda of Olympia. I had an appointment to get a scheduled checkup for my MAZDASPEED and needed a mounting bracket for a front license plate.

I'm on vacation for the better part of the next two weeks. I'm tying up some loose ends today and dropping my car off at the shop (bushings again). Then first thing in the morning, Linda and I are catching a flight to New York.
Linda has this piece of graph paper with our entire week planned out. She is always saying "let's go to XYZ this weekend" but never has anything for us to actually do there, so I tend to veto these requests. She hates this. So she took this matter into her own hands and ...

At 8am I had my car at the Mazda dealership for warranty work. They said it'd be a few hours and offered me a shuttle ride to somewhere in town, so I had them drop me off at the local bookstore. After a nice breakfast at the Denny's next door, I collected a stack of books to read while I waited for my car. And I read, and I read, and I read. At 2pm they called me and told me that they found the problem - it's my swaybar bushings! But they don't have the part in-stock so I'll have to come back af...

I took my car into Olympia for a visit to the Mazda dealership on Saturday morning. I had been dealing with a rattle in my dash for a few months that was absolutely driving me insane and I know those are next to impossible to find sometimes so I didn't hold much hope for getting it fixed. But when I started hearing something in my rear suspension creak and moan when I put it in reverse or turned the wheel sharply in low gear, I decided it was time to take my spicy orange Mazdaspeed into the shop...
